Identify all houseplants, remove or place poisonous plants out of the reach of children and pets.
KITCHEN
No household products under the sink. No medications on the counter.All cleansers out of reach of children. Poison Control Center phone number near the phone.
BATHROOM
Medicine cabinet cleaned out regularly. All old medicines properly disposed of by flushing down the toilet or follow local and state regulations. All medications are in safety containers. Proper lighting for appropriate reading of labels. A poison antidote kit (Ipecac) in the medicine cabinet.
BEDROOM
No medications on the dresser, chest or night stand. All perfumes and cosmetics up out of the reach of children. No flaking paint chips on windowsills, woodwork, cribs, playpen.
LAUNDRY
All soaps, detergents, cleansers and bleach stored out of the reach of children and pets. Furniture and metal polish out of reach of children and pets. Drain cleansers in safety containers and LOCKED out of the reach of children and pets.
BASEMENT/GARAGE
Window open to provide good ventilation. Penetrating oil, paint, varnish, mineral spirits, stripper, soldering material, caulk, bug spray out of reach of children and pets. ANTIFREEZE, window cleaner, turpentine out of reach of children and pets.
